Finally cool fanny

Ok! it has taken 3 weeks, swearing, cussing, itching, scratching sweating, frowning and general grumpiness from Tim to put up the combined ceiling fan and light!

So Luke don't moan about doing loads of jobs in the house as a child, as you must have learnt a lot with me letting you have a go at all the household tasks! :)

Then finally Tim got the light up and sorted but when you switched on the fan the light came on too which it was not meant to!!??? He got very grumpy with me when I said he would have to sort that out as it meant that he had some wires around the wrong way! So back to the drawing board and a phone call to Colin to ask for advice (Tim did not want Colin to do it he wanted to do it himself!), Colin kindly came around the next day and diagnosed the problem leaving some proper cable and Tim to sort it.

Finally it was done, light working on the light switch and fan working on the fan dial! :)

Tim has also managed to insulate all the loft and put up a whirley gig to get rid of the hot air from the loft ( does not include all Tims swearing!). Tim was dressed accordingly in long sleeves and shorts!?? to stop the fibres making him itch and sweating for Oz it was disgusting and very smelly! When he was on the roof trying to sort out the whirley gig he was clambering around like a cross between a monkey and an elephant he was on all fours but leaning backwards (like a crab i suppose so that makes a trinimal!?) and every time he moved it sounded like the roof was going to cave in! But he got the job done in two days as he ran out of light the first day, which was quicker than expected and a lot less swearing than the light and the roof insulation!

He did manage to burn his leg on the light he used in the loft as well which lead to much cussing and swearing and wanting huge amounts of sympathy! :)

Dogs by this time were not sure what was going on!

That's why I have not been blogging much (my excuse anyway!)

The house now feels that much cooler it is great, it must have dropped the temp at least 5-10 degrees. So now all he has to do is fit the next whirleygig as you need two on the roof to get maximum effect!?

While Tim was up o n the roof he took a picture of the view from there (see pic at top) shows you the sea on the east coast and a nice view of Fraser Is.

We shall wait for the rain to come and see if he has done a good job!!??? :)

Mind you that might be a long time as we have not had much and we are on water restrictions!

This was not what you thought the title of this blog was all about! Hope you are all disappointed! :)

It was all about the nice new cool fan installed!!
